The Intex 26664 chlorinator, also called chlorine saline generator, is an innovative and ecological sterilizer for above ground pools.

In the field of filtering devices, this new pump is the perfect solution for the above ground pool, it optimizes the costs and times of cleaning providing clearer and fresher water that is not weighed down by large quantities of chlorine, as is the case with traditional appliances. The innovative Krystal Clear Saltwater System uses this chlorine generator in combination to a new and exclusive two-phase technology to sanitize the pool water.

Firstly, an imperceptible amount of chlorine, which is not harmful to bathers, is produced when natural salt (not harmful to the environment) is added to the pool water by passing through a titanium electrolytic cell during the filtration process. The result is fresh, clean water, devoid of the hardness and typical of swimming pool chemicals.

Later, thanks to the E.C.O. (electro-catalytic oxidation), the water molecules are broken down into very powerful oxidants capable of destroying contaminating organisms such as bacteria and algae. The combination of these oxidants and natural chlorine results in a more effective and safer pool sterilization from a health point of view.

This second process, present only in the Intex Saltwater System, gives the consumer an important benefit. The E.C.O. it is so effective that it reduces about 60% of the presence of chlorine: this means that the consumer will not only be able to benefit greatly from a chlorine generator, but will be able to swim in the pool that is much less chlorinated.
