• The jaw-dropping Goblin Shark is a rare deep-sea species that lives at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Japan. This unique predator has a narrow, elongated snout and can extend its jaws three inches out of its mouth to catch prey.

  Named for their likeness to goblins, these unusual sharks are pinkish in colour and have razor-sharp nail-like teeth. They grow around three to four metres long and weigh approximately 460 pounds.
