The Lid for the 10 Litre COPACK 10 Litre Tin Plate Pail has the same lacquer coating on the underside and the white outer coating as the 10 Litre Base to provide addition protection against oxidation in wet environments.

Each lid has a polycell seal located in the underside of the lid which completes the sealing when the Clamp Band is fitted correctly as this applies pressure between the lid and the base and the seal is then compressed.  The Clamp Band has aligned recesses (when closed) to accept a plastic arrow which works as tamper evidence device.
