Xl American Bison

The American Bison is one of the biggest terrestrial animals in North America. Alongside the Bald Eagle, it’s the official symbol of America. In prehistoric times, millions of bison roamed North America. Fast forward to the late 1800s and there were only a few hundred left.

Male bison (bulls) weigh up to 2,000lbs and stand 6ft tall, whereas females (cows) weight up to 1,000lbs and reach a height of 4-5ft. Yellowstone National Park is the only place in America where bison have lived since prehistoric times.
